Neue Auctions will hold an online-only Fine Interiors, Art & Antiques auction on Saturday, April 1…

BEACHWOOD, Ohio – Neue Auctions will celebrate mild spring temperatures with an online-only Fine Interiors, Art & Antiques auction on Saturday, April 30, featuring a wild and wondrous collection of objects assembled from estates and collections across Ohio, Naples, Florida and other places. The auction will begin at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time.

“Every auction needs a little sparkle, and this sale features a fine selection of high-karat gold jewelry, as well as two fine ladies’ watches, one a bain de Cartier, the another a Patek Philippe,” said Cynthia Maciejewski of Neue Auctions. “We also have lots of beautiful, high-quality furniture, as well as lighting, glass, lots of estate rugs and more – 381 lots in all.”

With a pre-sale estimate of $6,000 to $8,000, the 18k yellow gold and diamond Cartier Women’s Bathtub Watch, made circa 2010, will likely end up on top. The watch, featuring a gold link bracelet with a double clasp closure, features a diamond-paved bezel surrounding an ellipse-shaped dial with a matte silver finish and gold Roman numerals, as well as a a diamond crown.

The Patek Philippe 18k yellow gold women’s watch comes in a strap design with a blue dial and Patek Philippe hallmark on the clasp, with an adjustable strap (estimated $1,000-$3,000). Also on offer is a Konstantino 18k yellow gold and diamond Roman coin necklace, circa 2010-2018, the fake Roman coin surrounded by pavé accent diamonds (estimated $3,500-$4,500).

Tin painting is the folk art of decorative painting on pewter and wooden utensils, objects and furniture. The sale includes a 19th-century French tole painted daybed in country style with various Napoleonic scenes for decoration (est. $1,500-$2,500); and a grape harvest basket painted in rustic antique tole with an armorial and the reading “Château de la Bernarde” (est. $300-$500).

Furnishings will include a monumental contemporary pine table featuring a paneled top with butterfly cleats and raised on a diamond-shaped cast concrete base (est. $1,500-$2,500); and a pair of circa-1980s Art Deco-style upholstered and lacquered wood club chairs with salmon textured mohair upholstered backs, with emerald green lacquered swan arms (est. $800-$1,200).

The silver category will be dominated by an English sterling silver (London, 1783) serving platter, rococo in shape with a border of foliated scrollwork, a maker’s mark (“WC”) and weighing a total of 167.7 oz. troy (estimated between $2,000 and $4,000); and a sterling silver George III English teapot and coffee pot (London, 1817 and 1827), with maker’s marks for William Eley, each decorated with animals and birds, weighing a total of 49.03 oz. troy (estimated between $800 and $1,200).

Asian items will include a gorgeous framed pair of hand-painted wallpaper panels decorated with trees and stones filled with birds, measuring 98 ½ inches high by 51 inches wide (est. $2,000-$4,000 $); and a large, equally marvelous pair of turquoise-glaze earthenware Chinese foo dogs on stands, depicting a female with a cub and a male with a ball, each seated, bearing a toothy expression, 42 inches high (est. $1,500 – $2,500).

Decorative fittings will include a pair of architectural Edwardian mahogany doors with hand painted classical style vignettes including crouching female sphinxes and classical muses in greyness in medallions, 96 inches by 25 inches (est. $1,000-$2,000); and an early 1900s Georgian carved wooden swan planter with a painted and gilt decorated surface and three gooseneck brackets on tripod legs (est. $250-$450) .

Online auctions will be provided by LiveAuctioneers.com and Invaluable.com. In-person gallery previews will take place Monday through Friday, April 25-29, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (open late Wednesday, April 27, until 7 p.m.). The Neue Auctions gallery is located at 23533 Mercantile Road, Suite 100, Beachwood, Ohio 44122. Beachwood is located just outside of Cleveland.

The online-only auction will be hosted live on auction day by members of the Neue Auctions team. The catalog is live and posted on all three auction sites.
